PostHeaderIcon Asian Dating – Busting Even More Myths About Filipino Dating

Are you a bit old fashioned and believe that meeting a Filipino girl online is only for internet geeks?  Times have changed since the late 90’s when online dating was only admitted to close friends. With live steaming chat, cheap phone calls and cheap international flights, dating a woman from another country is considered mainstream today. But if you are still set in your old ways, lets see if we can bust a few of  those dating myths you are holding on to.

Myth: Online Dating Is Not Safe

Fact: When compared to what?  Compared to staying at home doing nothing, then yes it is not as safe.  But compared to going out for a drink late at night?  With alcohol fueled violence at 2 a.m., drink spiking and a drug culture, do you honestly feel safer on the dance floor?  The internet is where you have total control over getting to know someone.  Yes, there are some predators out there.  But they are looking for a short introduction and don’t want to invest time in getting to know the real you.  If you take things at your own pace, you can create a genuine connection with a real person before even meeting them.

Myth: Online Dating Is Too Expensive

Fact: First, have you thought about how much it would take to date a single women you met last night at a club.  Cost of getting into the club and buying alcohol - $120.  Taking her out to a movie - $50.  Taking her out to dinner - $90.  Taking her to the beach - $40 for gas and lunch.  Starting ONE relationship is not cheap – think about how much this adds up over 12 months if you dated 10 women?.  Getting online and contacting the same number of women however will cost you the same as just one of your dates.  And when you want to meet your Filipino girl, take a couple of weeks off and take a trip.  Traveling to Asia is is cheaper than you think and you get a fantastic holiday at the same time.  Even with the cost of your trip, you are still going to come out ahead financially compared to dating local women over the course of a year.

Myth: Internet Dating Is Impersonal

Fact: Ten years ago you were right.  Today though we have Skype and webcams.  You can literally hold a ‘face to face’ conversation for free or call her and chat over VOIP for the cost of a local call.

Intrigued about dating a Filipino woman?  Do you even know what a Filipino woman looks like or how attractive they really are?  Why not come and check out a few profiles – you don’t have to join to browse and it is completely anonymous if you just want to take a look.  And who knows, you might find someone who catches your eye.

PostHeaderIcon Dating Filipino Girls – The Art Of Delikadesa

Are you a divorcee? If you answered yes, then you are not alone. According to divorcerate.org, the rate for divorce in America is 50% for first marriages, 67% for second marriages and a staggering 74% for third marriages.  Apart from making divorce lawyers very rich, divorce in the US can leave a lot of middle aged men looking for something a little more long term.

So what are the options for a middle aged American man?  With their beautiful smiles and gentle personalities, Filipino women are proving popular with western men wanting a long lasting marriage.  Filipino wives are renown for being caring, but dating a girl from another culture does come with a completely new set of rules.  They key to understanding her is to understand the environment she grew up in.  If you had to use one word to describe your Filipino girl, it would be delikadesa.

Delikadesa always reminds me of the word ‘delicate’ when I read it and it’s not that far from the real meaning.  Delikadesa is a Spanish noun meaning finesse, diplomacy and discretion.  Filipino women are raised in an environment where you respect other people and a strong sense of family.

Delikadesa means that a Filipino girl will make a fantastic wife for you -

Quiet Personality

A true Filipino women has a quiet and demure personality.  This above all else makes them attractive to American men as a life long partner.  Where they were use to argumentative and stubborn women they find their new partners prefer not to quarrel or argue.  They fear criticism, are polite and speak in hushed tones.  Overall, this gives a quiet personality and a refined character.

Family Over Money

The most common reason for divorce in the United States is money.  It is not necessarily money issues that cause the divorce, but what the money (and not having it) means to the husband or wife.  Ask yourself this question – did money create a strain in your last relationship?  Perhaps it was not having enough money to go on holidays or overdue bills?  To Filipino women, the concept of family is more important than money.   This is a culture where an average earner brings home just $2 or $3 per hour.  Your wife may have been raised a poor family home where a close knit family is considered the key to a happy life and personal wealth. This is where she learns delikadesa.

Monogamy Over Infidelity

Closely behind financial strain as a reason for divorce in the U.S. is infidelity.  Losing trust in your partner places a severe strain on any marriage.  A true Filipino women however values family and her marriage.  The marriage breakdown rate in the Philippines is one of the lowest in the world.  Your wife was raised believing marriage is a life long commitment.  Filipino-American marriages have proven to be very successful, with several happy husbands reporting that their wives are very faithful.

A Beautiful Wife

The Philippines spent 300 years as a Spanish colony up until revolution in 1896.  The Spanish may be long gone, but their legacy remains.  Many towns have Spanish names and the architecture in the older buildings is unmistakable.  But for you, the most important legacy is the mixing of the Spanish blood lines with the Filipino population.  The result is a Eurasian look that is uniquely Filipino. Filipino women can be considered some of the most beautiful in the world.  For proof of this, look no further than Angela Perez Baraquio who took out the Miss USA title in 2001.  Angela might be a US citizen, but was born in Hawaii to her Philippine parents living in Hawaii.
